Happy new year, everyone! I started off the new year in the best possible way. I spent the evening of January 2nd photographing 3 excellent bands - Butcher Babies, Hatebreed and Black Label Society - at Edmonton's Shaw Conference Centre. It was refreshing to shoot in a larger venue for a change, with an enormous stage and great lighting. Not to mention the plethora of talent that graced the Shaw's stage on Friday night! From Butcher Babies' dynamic-duo Carla Harvey & Heidi Shepherd, Hatebreed's hardcore-powerhouse of a frontman, Jamey Jasta, to shred-master and guitar god, Zakk Wylde of Black Label Society.
I'm still buzzing about this show, I had such a great time networking with new people, and shooting some of the coolest kats in metal today!
